Essentia by GC – the aesthetic restorative material for two-layer technique and reduced colour range.
Essentia represents the pure essence of composite layering. With only seven syringes, you have the perfect solution for all your restorations.
Frontal – adapt your layering to the age of your patients.
In whitened or young restorations, the enamel should be white and packed while the dentin will also whiten. In this case Light Dentin(LD) and Light Enamel(LE) are combined
In the case of young patients, a combination of packer and white enamel is required along with more saturated dentin. Here are layered Medium Dentin(MD) and Light Enamel(LE).
In adult teeth, the enamel becomes more translucent with light staining, while the dentin remains medium-saturated. Optimally Medium Dentin(MD) is covered with Dark Enamel(DE).
In old teeth, translucency and saturation are needed in the enamel area, and the dentin becomes much darker and more translucent. The perfect combination is a layering of Dark Dentin(DD) and Dark Enamel(DE).
Posterior – natural two-layer or simple monochromatic restoration.
Posterior Monochromatic – In many cases, the use of one color in the distal area will be sufficient to give a very good aesthetic result using Universal.
Posterior bilayer – In the distal area, the dentin usually appears darker, while the enamel maintains a whiter shade. Dark Enamel is layered with Light Enamel.

Could it be easier?
Aesthetic restorations often involve complex, layer-by-layer techniques. After years of development based on the experience of the best aesthetic clinicians, GC now presents a paradigm shift in restorative dentistry with an innovative and bold concept.
Free yourself from familiar conventions through Essentia.
Traditional shades are based on different saturation (colors) known as A, B, C and D. However, enamel and dentin are known to have different characteristics that contribute to the final perception of tooth color. By breaking away from traditional monochromatic shades and focusing on the different characteristics of enamel and dentin, you can achieve very resilient results in just two easy layers.
This is what you achieve with Essentia:
The three dentin colors vary in color and opacity, just as dentin changes over a patient’s lifetime. They are responsible for the “Intensity” of the color of the built restoration. Combined with dentin colors, the two enamel colors will provide translucency.
